Transportation Planner (I/II/Senior/Principal)

Description

Under general supervision or direction, performs professional and technical support for transportation planning programs; researches, analyzes, interprets and prepares reports addressing transportation-related needs; develops and completes technical assessments and written project and program analyses; coordinates projects and programs with other SBCAG staff and member jurisdictions, regional transportation agencies, and state agencies; and performs related work as required.

Transportation Engineer (I/II/Senior)

Description

Under direct or general supervision, or general direction performs professional and technical duties for transportation engineering and planning programs; plans, analyzes, organizes, oversees and coordinates engineering work, including long- and short-term project planning, programming and compliance, design construction and related areas; coordinates assigned projects and activities with other SBCAG staff, member jurisdictions, regional transportation agencies, and/or state agencies; provides complex staff assistance to a Deputy Executive Director; and performs related work as required.

Traffic Solutions Coordinator I/II

Description

Under general supervision, coordinates programs for employers and individuals in the County that enable, facilitate and promote ridesharing (carpool, vanpool, bus, train, and on-demand micro-transit) and active transportation (walk, standard and electric bikes, skateboard, and micro-mobility options); performs a variety of community outreach, education, writing and editing, contact database updates, website updates, field work in support of Rail and Transit programs and a various research duties in support of the Director of Traffic Solutions and SBCAG division of rail and transit. .; and performs related duties as required

Grants Analyst

Description

Under general direction, is responsible for researching, preparing and submitting grant proposals, applications and supporting documents, including written narratives, assistance in budget preparation and project planning. The Grants Analyst researches and identifies new and potential, competitive and discretionary grant funding opportunities; provides oversight of the lifecycle of grants; performs administrative tasks in support of a variety of grant processes and procedures; provides technical assistance and guidance to ensure grant management compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations including but not limited all necessary reporting.

Government Affairs & Public Information Manager (I/II/III)

Description

Under general supervision; plans, organizes, and implements a comprehensive government relations communication program, and public outreach program in support of SBCAG projects and programs. Researches, monitors, and analyzes legislation affecting SBCAG programs, projects, and activities. Represents SBCAG’s position regarding legislation to special interest groups and local, state, and federal agencies, legislators, and lobbyists. Informs stakeholders and the public of the activities and objectives of SBCAG, and performs related work as required.

Finance Manager/Human Resources Generalist (I/II)

Description

Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and performs difficult and complex professional and technical support related to the processing of financial transactions, preparing and reconciling financial and accounting records and reports, completing professional accounting work to ensure regulatory compliance with governmental accounting standards. Maintains and improves SBCAG’s financial system; administers current and long-term financial planning activities; provides highly complex and responsible support to the Chief Financial Officer/Human Resources in areas of expertise. Manages employee benefits programs, payroll, recruitment, open enrollment, and provides employee relations support and performs related work as required.

Director of Planning/Programming

Description

Under administrative direction from Executive Director: manages a division of the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG), covering Regional Planning or Programming; provides support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors in coordinating and directing divisional activities and operations; provides effective and efficient fulfillment of the functions and services of the agency; fosters cooperative working relationships among SBCAG operations and intergovernmental regulatory agencies, and various public and private groups. Provides highly responsible and professional assistance to the Executive Director in areas of expertise and performs related work as required.

Director of Multimodal Programs

Description

Plans and manages regional transit services provided or funded by SBCAG and oversees SBCAG’s participation in the Pacific Surfliner Joint Powers Agency. Provides oversight for all programs and activities of the interagency transportation demand management (TDM) program.

Clerk of the Board

Description

Under general direction, plans and participates in the daily operations and activities of SBCAG’s administrative office support and Board services functions, including serving as Clerk of the Board; performs a variety of complex office administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties in support of the Executive Director and other management personnel; provides information regarding agency policies, procedures and functions; and performs other duties as required.
